Although it goes some way to proving how much you care about the fortunes of NUFC that you paid more attention to our exact finishing place than I did myself.
As in: once you realised you'd finished below us, you switched your telly and radio off, and refused to look at the sports pages of the Ronnie Gill?

Is that why you don't know where you finished [other than below us]?

I'd take a 5-1 humiliation over finishing one point above any day of the week thank you very much.
5-1 won't be forgotten in a while, that 1 point will be come the start of the season. Cherish it while you can. ;)

A Sunderland board with countless threads just like this discussing Newcastle United Football Club, yes.

Were you even at the game?

It's quite embarrassing that for such a big "TOON" fan you didn't even know where your own club finished. In fact, its telling that you knew where SAFC finished in the top half, but not where you're own shower of shite did. I suppose in the bottom half, its all much of a muchness. Or maybe you're just a little too obsessed with us and cared more where we finished?

Beat us 5-1, took 4 points from us and still finished below us.
Like the Scots eh, one battle won, never shut up about it!!

Busted .......... oh and, by the way, it doesn't matter who finishes where according to the walking talking braincell

 It doesn't matter, but he knows where we finished, but not his own club. The lad really is priceless.

Yes I was, just as I was at the return fixture.

The post I quoted made reference to top half, it doesn't take much to make an educated guess that you finished 10th. As for mixing up 11th and 12th place, well they're both mid-table and both stand for fuck all in the grand scheme of things (just like your 10th place) so I'm so desperately sorry I made such a small mistake and that I don't take mid-table placings more seriously.

See you've ignored my post Jake

Half the starting XI unknown? No. Cabaye's the only unknown for me but I've seen a couple games which were promising plus everything I've read about the lad has been unanimously positive. Marveaux's another unknown but I don't see him starting, at least not from the off.

I just find it interesting that you don't know where your own club finished, but for all your prattle about us being obsessed, you knew where we finished. It really is a simple as that. You spend a lot of time on an SAFC board, and know more about our finish than your own.

They're unknown quantities though. Especially given that only one of them has prem experience and out of the four of the "French Revolution" three of them are sicknotes. And if Marveaux doesn't get in ahead of Gutierrez then he must be incredibly shit.

Yet many on here are still as over confident now as they were then, some people will never learn.

Well of course I was, if you can't enjoy being 3-0 up what's the point in being a football fan.

10th and 11th. We were both as equally midtable as could possibly be.

In a division of 22 teams, 11th is mid table, 10th top half. Say its not.

Just like second gets you nowhere! It's first or nowt isn't it? Ask SBR who of course you never hounded out or spat on after bringing the great NUFC home a lowly fifth place.

You don't seem to get it do you, you may be Sky's favourite team and you may think football only began in 1993 but the facts remain; 1-9, 6th most successful club, most recent trophy, better infastructure all round and amazing crowds considering what we have been through (your three years of 'pain' are fuck all). You lot like to slate your own fans that aren't from the city, but fail to grasp that without a load of our own turncoat supporters then you wouldn't have the crowds you (currently) do.

Oh aye, and the waiting list.

We don't think we're world beaters, we just know we are the most attractive proposition of our two clubs for once which is great. It shows the direction our beloved club is heading in, and also yours... :)

Say it enough and you may start believing it. 5-1 - still hurts eh?

I believe it cos it's true. Yeah it hurt. I won't lie. It wouldn't matter had we done it to your lot though as we're not rivals right? Or are we when you're acting the newly promoted CCC side? I can't keep up.

Forever in your shadow too right? I dunno how I forgot that one, seeing as it is clearly true, what with all the actual facts that exist and not just a gathering of ***** ill based opinions.:lol:

Dirty black and white bastards:lol::-D:p
I think my point has been proven by how many replies this has had *****.

Ben Arfa's had a major injury, yes, but he's hardly been riddled with injuries before that. Marveaux and even Liverpool themselves have denied the rumour he failed a medical there. Ba obviously has a well documented problem with his knee but he still manages to play the majority of a season looking at his past record. I also feel that's incredibly harsh on Jonas, he was one of our best players in the latter half of last season and for me I'd start the season with him and introduce Marveaux slowly and see how it pans out.

Exactly, same way i see it as well. They acted like arrogant ***** in the mid 90s which i remind them about constantly, their Chav support also doubled in size.... I just hope some of our lot don't do the same.

Too late. I've already started tuckin me trackie bottoms into me socks.

Ba > Carroll ?
Cabeye > Nolan?

Pardew better than Hughton(sp) ?

Both of our golden ages are long gone. Over the last 20 years we have mostly been on a different level to you and when you truly believed that your team would do us they got smacked.

Like it or not but we are seen as the bigger club and I had really nice trips to Turin, Barcelona, Milan, Frankfurt, Majorca and Holland a couple of times.

It's a bit previous to go shouting the odds. I honestly get the feeling that you all expect that sooner rather than later you will lag behind again. Not a wind up btw.
