houghton 3rds v washington or bill quay

:-xfuck me....the one midweek game im able to get to and it gets fuckin changed.... probs wont be able to make the re arranged date then lads but i will let you know....:-x

whats the reason for them re arranging it... like pepper says he had arranged the game on the 6th of june, how can they wait until this late on to change it. absolute f***ing joke like imo... if they cant play it claim the win...

From what I understand - and it's very muddled - the jist of it is as follows:

1. Bill Quay and Washington both agreed Houghton to play 21st June, no matter who won.
2. Bill Quay and Washington had another cup game outstanding - it's been called off/rained off/not played several times which is now going to be played Wednesday 22nd June (the day after the agreed date for the game vs Houghton).
3. Someone - not sure who - has gotten in touch with Tom to lay claim that Bill Quay knew nothing about the 21st (which is lies because I know when I called, and who I called).
4. It's been decided - again not sure by who - that the Cup game vs WASHINGTON on the 22nd takes preference and because a lot of the Bill Quay lads work shifts they can't get time off for both.

So, we've been shafted. If they turn around and say they can't play the 30th then it would be my preference to push that they forfeit the game. We (Houghton) have done everything by the book and seem to be getting nowhere.

Thankfully, the Finals Day isn't until Sunday 24th July so there is a bit of a gap between the 1/4 finals and Finals Day but it's slightly irriating when stuff like this happens. And this week I've been on both ends of the mis-communications!

Finals day being two semis and a final? Sounds great if so :-)

What you have said is about right Andy. I actually started the thing by calling BQ just to check that everything was in line, glad I did now. Sounds like a case of human error, it's a real pisser but it happens. They are sound blokes and have apologised to me for it, we move on.

Yep its a Finals Day. Venue is still TBC. One of the 4 Semi-Finalists?

Had it confirmed that Rob will be responsible for making/ delegating the job of making the Houghton mascot outfit for the half time steeplechase should we make finals day.

where will he find a hedgehog outfit. I suppose we could just get someone to run with the hedgehog at the end of a stick:lol:

Is that our official emblem like?! If that's the case I would suggest some sort of all-in-one swimming outfit with sticks poking through it.
