16 wickets @ 34.25 and economy of 3.36, strike rate 61.0.

'Comfortably outbowled' my hairy ringpiece.

correct.

0 - 111 (JIMMY)
3- 83 (Broad)

We got spanked in a test we only need to draw to win the series. Until we can win in India and SA we wont be ranked 1 in the world.

More wickets in the series, average marginally worse (0.79), much better strike rate. Jimmy the better bowler in SA, and those are the facts. :-D

And Bell turned it round after a 1st Test horrow show (following a long run of poor socring), fair play to the little fella.

lower bowling average per wicket. Outbowled by Broad

What happened to Jimmy in the last test??

You could start a thread on here about Germany's invasion of Poland and it would still end up in a slanging match over Jimmy Anderson.

:lol::lol:

I promise no mention of Jimmy on your tour

Bowled shit in the last Test (see how easy it is), still the leading pace bowler in the series. Fact central.

On the thread you linked you were right about Bell, but wrong about the series.

the most bouncy deck was the last test when Jimmy got spanked....one trick pony

Because a swing bowler will get no benefit out of a bouncy pitch. A 6ft odd bowler who's natural length is back of a length should be taking wickets on bouncy pitches.

he did but in a 4 man attack the leader of the attack cant get whazzed for over a 100 for no wicket which is why we lost

just a shame Jimmys usually come when you need him most

In fairness my abiding memory of SA away was the Cape Town test where Jimmy turned in figures of 8 for 140 in a drawn test which we would surely have won if it hadnt been for Broad's lamentable 1/130. This would have meant the series would have been in the bag even before the final test.
gan on nibble

Bell just interviewed and basically admitted he deserved to be dropped when he was 'scratching around for a run'.

Gower, Warne and Holding saying the same thing and that he is a different person these days.

Bell is now what he promised to be. He is one of the best players in the world. It would beinteresting to see what he averages since he was left out
