Really are a superb broadcasting outfit imo, the likes of Atherton, Hussian, Holding, Warne, Lloyd and Gower really are superb to listen to. Even Botham who tends to come in for some stick isnt to bad just shown up sometimes because the others are that good

Sometimes a find myself enjoying the cricket talk and banter between them in a rain break better than watching the cricket itself

As a package I cant think of a better sports broadcasting crew at the moment tbh

And TMS is just as good. Tufnell going through a list of his top five favourite sweets earlier.

They are so much better than any footballing pundit package. Gower is superb pulling together discussions and chairing them like David Dimbleby, Lloyd is genuinely funny without lowering to sarcasm or snide remarks (a la Mark Lawrenson) and lives cricket and really knows his stuff, Atherton is knowledgeable about world cricket and county cricket more than any footballing pundit is about world and club football, Hussain is as dry as sticks and has some good banter with Botham and Atherton whilst also knowing his stuff, Warne is always entertaining and insightful when he's on and Botham has good value for being mildly irritable at all times. I could sit and watch them talk all day. I struggle through football programs that last longer than 20 minutes

Because these lads are actually have a wide knowledge of the sport that they are experts in and seem like generally intelligent people.

We pretty much have had done the past few days

Agree with this, as frustrating as that rain break was, it was genuinely interesting listening to them basically just having a chat as any of us fans might do down the pub. The banter between Atherton and Botham (or should that be Stinky and Numb nuts) while discussing player discipline made for some great entertainment.

The football presenters just don't have that kind of personality on screen.

Completely agree with all that's already been said. I could sit and watch them talk about cricket for hours as they all seem to know the game inside out and, as has already been pointed out they have their own personalities to go along with it.

I love, in particular listening to Michael Holding's assessments of West Indies cricket at the minute. Makes for some very entertaining viewing.

his views on Finn were entertaining the other week to

This past half hour or so of commentary with Bumble and Warney has been very entertaining too. They've barely talked about cricket, but it's still been good to listen to.

Aggers is mint and so is bumble, tms has won me over today though. They have had to work hard the past couple of days though.

Geoffrey Boycott was on a right rant about joining the Euro when I turned it on before :-D

'I don't mind people going on holiday there but we've fought these countries for hundreds of years...'

Missed that one, but there will be another tomorrow no doubt. :):)

He was great but the standard of cricket commentary on TMS and skysports is immense.

I think that Mike Brearley would make a fabulous member of the commentary team. A great analyist like Nasser, and the Ornie twins (Michael and Shane).
