Derrick Parry who was pro down Horden for over ten years also went on that tour iirc

There were two West Indian tours to South Africa, and yes, Parry was on both!

Oh yes, the man was a machine. Best thing about him was he never tried to be flash and slog to show off. If Horden needed 50 off 10 overs or so he would go about his business and knock them off with no fuss and no going for big shots

Saying that when big shots were needed they were not many better in local leagues from what I have seen

Class act and when looking at all round game and service given for me the best to play in the local league. Played for about 13 years or so missing only one year iirc

Did he marry a bird from Horden?
 
he had sense though, he lived in peterlee. he said that he thought kingston was rough but horden f***ing hell.i know he is from st kitts & nevis
