Didn't manage to watch any of the match (couldn't find a link) but what was up? Listened to the commentary for the Warwickshire innings and it sounded like they did it easily. Looking at the scorecard it looks like Durham didn't show much aggression up front, just misread the pitch?

Mustard must be a bit miffed being outscored by Muchall.

On a separate note, Surrey did quite well. Could get some canny scores down at the Oval with Hamilton-Brown, Davies and Roy in the top 3.

Surrey batted well ... Hamilton brown and Davies looked in great nick ... Timed it very well. Gloucester were very poor though and drops, missed stumpings and misfields didn't help.

i thoroughly enjoyed the game and to be fair, despite numerous fielding errors, warwickshire deserved the win

second season in the row, where piolet has come out on top v durham's batsmen.

breese bowled a superb spell, 2 for 24 off 4 but the batsman Porterfield, was simply superb in his batting.

the turning point was a stumping shout, when porterfield was in his 20s, which went to review but it showed he was in by an inch.

canny atmosphere, that didnt come over, on the highlights, as the sound was turned down.

two daft lads ran on the pitch, one in a banana suit, the other dressed as a hot dog.

thats them down a grand apiece for that

at the end of the game, there was a smartly dressed fella get searched by the cops, just below the robson stand, possibly for trying to sell drugs.

overall lovely weather, canny game, but warwicks have a decent team and they did win the northern section last year, so there is no shame in losing.

ps

had some canny nice chips anarl :-D

pps

stokes was sitting with the WAGS, just behind me. it is the index trigger finger, which had a small metal style splint, with strong elastaplast, keeping it in a straight set position

he will have to do some physio, to allow the finger to bend again, once he gets the splint off. i did my little finger like that about 20 years back and they made me put my hand in a water bath thing and bend it and straighten it for half an hour, to regain full movement

by the way, he left with a canny lucky wag ( unfortunately nee pics, as i didnt have a camera at hand) she looked a bit like pippa middleton, with long dark hair

watched it on the box, and although it was entertaining in parts it just doesnt flick my switch.

proper cricket starts soon though, couple of days leave sorted
