Couple more months to let him get full fitness and I'd have Onions back in. Best stump-to-stump bowler we have.

Despite Durham's depth in the bowling attack, Onions is much more valuable to Durham than to England, where he is probably 4/5th choice so Durham need him more.

Not really, he was one of England's key bowlers till he got injured. It was only through injury that the likes of Finn, Tremlett and now Dernbach were brought into the squad.

But he was always behind Anderson and Broad. And was even dropped in favour of Sidebottom in South Africa.

Obviously, they're the two main senior bowlers. And that was in what, 08/09? Hardly has much to fear now seeing as though the curly headed mess is 33.

Struggling today mind, without our Jimmy. Would Shazad not have offered something different? He did ok in his only test iirc. All the lads today seem a bit samey.
