wickets starting to fall now.. 6 down.. 163 lead..

carry on slogging is my option...
declaration is imminent imo.

what time is the tea break anyone?

blind me like

on cricinfo hours of play

Hours of play (local time): 11am start, Lunch 13.00-13.40, Tea 15.40-16.00, Close 18.00

looks like we want a bowl pre the tea break

Maybe they're going to declare. But I would probably make sure they get 220 ish in front.

They shouldn't have to slog to get that by tea.

is it 3:45 or 4pm... around that time.. at least another hour
cheers just found it on cricinfo

if we bat an hour till tea then another 60 runs for a lead of 220 odd, should be on.

though the weather forecast is canny for the rest of the day and tommorrow, so they may bat on further to get a 300 lead

nah don't bat after tea.. its only our first innings. get at them as soon as we can... if we can get 2 or 3 wickets before close of play tonight then its really game on

if it was me, i would declare in the next five mins and have a bowl for half an hour pre the tea break.

165 the lead

The colonel might want to stay in till the lead gets to 200, to protect his current championship avgerage of 158 for this season

Benks and Stokes partnership is the highest ever in the County Championship. Whether that's for Durham or all teams I dont know.

i think it might be for durham.

wonder what the partnership was when lara scored 501 v durham, about a decade or so back?

No, no, no! Bat properly, but them in with an hour or so left. Lancs 4 down at stumps.

Never underestimate the value of torturing the fielding team.
i am impatient:lol:

176 the lead.

i think 200 is the target, then get them in to bat

503 for 7

lead of 190 :-D:-D:-D:-D

looks like we will possibly declare at tea (340pm)

Lead over 200 now. I'd declare now, or at least a bit before tea because you're effectively getting some free overs out of your fast bowlers as they get a rest at tea and can then start again afterwards.

thats what i fancied but i think its too late now, with tea at 340pm.

might as well bat on, make them come out after tea, then declare after an over, to arse them about a bit

208 the lead
