On a similar weird note: George McCartney reportedly wanted to jack it in prior to going to WHU. We somehow managed to get a ridiculously good fee for a player of his ability that’d admitted he was losing interest in the game. Then for some stupid reason we go and buy him back for a higher fee than we sold him for. The whammers in my then local couldn’t believe it. We’ve been ran by morons for decades.

I am convinced that they sent us back a different McCartney to the one we sent them too. He was nothing like the player that left us.
