He is not really a CB and can't head the ball that is why he plays much better with a partner like Brown and lately Coates but not Vergini.

I'd have liked to have seen him in CM.

But his passing is awful and he's way too slow. Should be a coach, not a player, imho.

Not sure if that is true but you could say that about most of our CMs.

He is the best captain since Bally but a much better player.

One of the disappointing things about this era is that there are very few players who have stayed long enough to be associated with the period. Cattermole and Oshea. Larsson and Bardsley. Then the likes of Bent and Jones will be remembered for their relatively short periods of time here.
Too many comings and goings and lack of dominant personality like say Hurley in the 60's, Shackleton in the 50's and Carter in the 30's. Different times though
