Salvio from Benfica €25m

They didn’t make much noise, but in a unpretentious paragraph, there it was: the Benfica president Luís Filipe Vieira was in London to talk to Sunderland, who are offering €25m for the winger.

That’s great news for Benfica. It’s such a coincidence that an English club would show up offering exactly the amount the club wanted to receive.

It’s just a bit strange that it didn’t even make the article’s headline, neither was it mentioned in the other papers.

Sunderland’s interest in Salvio has been reported in the past week, but we’ve always considered it unlikely for the Black Cats to pay that amount for the 26-year-old.

If they do, it will certainly make the headlines.

He's played in the Champions League and Europe League for teams that do well in those competition. We've been linked with a quality player but people still moan. And it's the usual suspects.

They are plenty of crap players played in the champ league and the Europa etc.
