Thats why when people are saying get rid of the likes of Wickham, Giacc even Graham I can't see it happening. 14 players left last Summer and it seriously weakened us. The like of Gardner and Bardsley were regular squad members. If we do that now we'd be taking another step back. As for "deadwood" we really only have Roberge and Mavrias, can we not just come to an agreement with them?

Keep them at home. Seriously though what were we thinking letting di fanti play a shit version of champ Man for a year

Most clubs will be in the same boat, you can go back to Roy Keane saying he'd get rid of this player get rid of that player, it's not that easy.

Add Ba to those two

Modibo Diakite
Cabral
David Moberg Karlsson
Jozy Altidore
Charis Mavrias
El Hadji-Ba
Valentin Roberge

Christ, what a depressing list of players :(

You forgot Dossena....

Add in Giaccherini who scored a few goals early on which barely affected anything and had two sub cameos at the end of the season and it's quite depressing. Yet there are still people on here who continually insist buying relegated players and loaning too many players are our biggest issues. No, buying shite, wherever they are from, not suited to the team we are buying them for and so end up being players who make no impact other than on the wage bill is and has been our biggest problem for several years.
