Big mistake in hindsight?

I know he's been bitter since and a bit of a kernt,but

We're still playing pretty much a Steve Bruce signings squad.

Best finish for many years.

Brought in some talent for cheap that we then got good money for (sess, bent, gyan,mig, Mcclean)

Had a squad that scored lots of goals when the strikers were in good form, and had some good , albeit overpaid, players in it.

Did we really sack him for a good reason? I know I wanted him out at the end but I honestly can't remember what I had to complain about at the time compared to now!
 

What REALLY bugs me about the whole Bruce scenario is that he had an appalling record with us, but he's managed to wriggle his way out of the bad reputation he categorically deserves because there are still people slating him for being "a fat Geordie bastard".
 
We are going down this season partially due to Bruce, he has to take a portion of the blame because we haven't been able to get rid of some of the players he signed in his last summer here

Obviously he left a while ago so it's only a small portion, others need to take plenty of blame as well. Bruce is just another name on a long list of people that haven't done well enough at SAFC in recent times

I'm also biased against him as I couldn't stand the fat bastard

Whilst Poyets recent descent into madness is up there with the worst under O'Neill, PDC and Bruce he had a harder job than those that came before him

Mind after his recent comments, team selections and tactics I'm not arsed if he goes either
