I’d see how well Phillips does at Hartlepool and if he does well I’d definitely bring him home. Won’t cost much so the club will be over the moon.

I would bring him in as a striker coach if we have any.

1) Klopp says he's leaving Liverpool at end of season so he's a free agent.
2) Sunderland sack their manager
3) Board decide to wait til the end of season to replace.

We havent had a centre forward who can score goals for more than a year so I wouldnt be so sure three or four months will bring enlightenment about a manager either

PEPIJN LINDERS ( Liverpool ).....now that Klopp is going this guy is just bursting to be a manager....with all the knowledge he has built up over past few years it could be priceless.....the thing is , I dont think he would want to be told what to do under our criteria of management. He would want to express his ideas and style on the team he would like...whether Speakman would allow that??????

Speakman was the de facto manager during the tenures of Beale, Mowbray and before them - how does he get off Scot-Free all of the time?

Anyway, if Dodd’s gets us playing well again and IF we make the playoffs and he wants it, I’d give him the gig…he knows the club, the players like him, the fans are accepting…let’s just see how it pans out….
