Ha ha, aye I know. I got home and thought to myself I must add a tenth plane! Didn't have the heart to tell them that I had no idea there's normally only nine :D
me neither! and i've seen them a few times!

I was well impressed they shared it!

Aye it all got pretty bust yesterday. I was pissed off my face by about 8pm too. Have taken a few orders for it from the team, so that's pretty cool. I've whacked it in the SMB flickr group so I guess it will show on here soon.

This Sunday saw the annual Great North Run taking place, starting in Newcastle and finishing 13.1 miles later in South Shields.

This one was a little different though as it saw the one millionth participant cross the finish line.

I wasn't running this year so took the opportunity to set up my camera and get some shots of the famous red arrows going over Newcastle and the Tyne Bridge. The dye mix used was the strongest to date as two members of the dye team are from the North East and wanted to put on a great display.

This picture was used on the RAF's official facebook page and picked up over 7000 likes! I've also taken some orders from members of the team, so very happy with it!

You'll notice there are ten planes, rather than the standard nine. Apparently this is the spare plane and it very rarely flies with the normal formation, so it's quite unique.

I also bumped into the winner of the race, Mo Farah, on the evening and my mate took a selfie with him :)

I welcome constructive feedback but prefer no banners / awards, thanks.

Just replied to you. Don't check that email much, it's generally full of gay porn and offers of penis reductions, can't think why :D
Set up a referral on that account to send to the one you do use?

Looks shopped even though it's not

Can you put the planes in a lower angle so it can be a card ;)

Being on the east coast there aren't that many good spots (that I know) for capturing a coastal sunset. However, when the tide is our there's some lovely spots at the back of St. Mary's Lighthouse.

For this one I found a nice rock to perch myself on. My wellies were full after about 5 seconds but I think it was worth it.

I considered getting rid of the people on the horizon, but I feel they add a good sense of scale to the shot.

Geeky stuff;
Lee 0.9 NDHG
Lee Sunset 2
Canon 5d mkIII
Canon 17-40mm L

A bit of dodge and burn on the waves, other than that just very basic adjustments to exposure, saturation, sharpening, etc...

I welcome constructive feedback but prefer no banners / awards, thanks.
