King Charles III

Strange to think we now have a King, after all of the years of our lives of only having the Queen. It'll take a bit to get used to.
Apart from getting used to our money featured a kings heads, saying 'God save the King' and such, I wonder how this new chapter will alter our lives, society and even the world and politics?
The Queen had a massive influence on how our history has panned out, now it is King Charles who will now shape the future.

He’s got a class act to follow and obviously he won’t reign for as long as his mother. But at least he’s started to look king like in recent years. Before then there would have been no chance of him being accepted as monarch.

There's always the perception that he'll get into trouble for overstepping ceremonial bounds and try to interfere in some way.

But the struggle is really in 70 years the country and world has changed. So many innovations changing life and society at large for better and worse. And through it all The Queen was ever present. No matter how much things changed, she was still there. Waving when needed, opening Parliament, giving a Christmas speech and so on. Now it'll be the King. He might be good, bad or a bit of both. But he is different. Not the same as before. Will it make more people thing monarchy isn't right anymore? Singing GSTK will sound wrong somehow and the stamps and money will just look off. A constant reminder of the difference. And I feel safe to say he won't reign as long as the Queen did. So won't get some benefit of being the monarch for a number of generations growing up.
