Hemir

Tin hat firmly on but I thought he did alright tonight. He held the ball up and brought teammates into play a few times. In those brief moments, it showed what we’ve been missing in terms of a tall striker who can make it stick. Too often we’re passing it around at the back under pressure, with no real target to hit if we want to go long.

Obviously we need better, but until we bring in an experienced 9 who can hold it up, Hemir should be getting a bit more game time.

Not sure why Beale didn’t go two up front for the last 10 mins when we’re desperate for a goal against a packed defence. Surely we could have sacrificed a more defensive player.

Agreed.

In the build up he looked busy, retained possession on the rare occasions out midfielders looked for him.

He looked strong and showed good feet.

But was noticeable that he was very flat footed when the ball was wide, he didn’t believe the ball was coming in and why would he?

We don't go direct enough or put enough balls in the box for the likes of him or anyone else to pick up a 2nd ball. Still passing it sideways on 90+ mins.
