Helmets mandatory at all levels now from next season

Exactly, that's why I am asking if you agree that it should be mandated that kids wear a helmet given there hasn't been any deaths, as this is the reason you object to it being mandated to all players.

Agreed mate. What with gloves, suncream, hats, and pads too, we're making these kids soft.

Received this from Graeme Weeks earlier in a ECB bulletin about the law change demanding that all professionals wear helmets.

What will these changes mean for recreational cricketers?

For adults over the age of 18 in recreational cricket, the wearing of head protectors by batsmen and wicketkeepers continues to be strongly recommended, preferably which meet the relevant latest British Safety Standard.

So it wont be mandatory at local league level which is the way it should be.
