Surely that one by the lad who came on and was deflected wide was on target? Or is that classed as a blocked shot these days?

.. if it's deflected wide then it's not on target cos it didn't hit the fookin target? .. it went wide? ..

No. The original shot can be on target before the deflection.

Possibly. Only saw one replay.

.. no .. a goal or a save is a shot on target, a deflection goes fookin wide so it can't be a shot on target cos it doesn't hit the target? ..

.. would only count as a shot on target if it was going in and blocked by a defender who is the last man ..

Between leaving the players boot and hitting the defender (this could be as little as a yard or much more) if the ball is goal bound can it not be classed as on target? There are normally only two categories for shots; on target and off target. Where would this kind of shot be categorised if there is no 'blocked shot' category?

That Sissoko(?sp) looks like quality mind, proper quality!!

There is no doubt they will struggle, no one to score goals

This new French freak looks like he couldn't hit a cows arse with a shovel

.. naw .. opta says that the defender must be the last man .. the keeper was beyond him ..

.. and if you check out sky or bbc you will see that they both show the scum has 0 shots on target .. seems it's just you who want to give them a shot on target, but wtf if you want them to have a shot on target you stick to your own yardstick if it makes you feel better ..
