Bad vibes around SAFC will lead to an exodus of our better players….

Whatever your viewpoint about what is going on at Sunderland Association Football Club right now, no one can honestly deny that the negativity surrounding the club is escalating at a frightening pace.

The ownership group headed by KLD need to act to stop it spiralling out of control or common sense tells you our better players will all be looking to leave as soon as they can, with their agents telling them that if they want to further their careers they cannot stay at a club where ambition and an urgency to get into the Premier League seems remote at this current moment in time.

A thread on RTG yesterday where it was highlighted that we could field a stronger team in league one than we can at this present moment in time should have the alarm bells ringing for the decision makers. The post play off feelgood factor that created a buzz amongst fans and has the club attracting 40k plus crowds is quickly evaporating due to poor results/performances, substandard recruitment, the loss of decent players who have been replaced by inferior ones or, in some cases, not replaced at all.

Then the appointment of a head coach whose name appeared out of the blue and who was unpopular at his previous clubs, was out of work and cheap and wasn’t allowed to bring any of his own staff in which is unusual. Results and performances under Michael Beale have seen the club go backwards at an alarming rate. Yesterday we saw him seemingly blank a handshake from a substituted player.

Then there’s unhappiness about the farcical events surrounding the NUFC cup tie that haven’t been properly and honestly answered, club shop/merchandising, ticket office and state of the SOL etc..

Where and when is this frighteningly rapid decline going to end and just who is in charge at SAFC, KLD or Kristjaan Speakman?

Its not the players that will leave which is the biggest worry for me, even if we had a good manager if we didnt go up the good players were leaving as teams will take a chance on them, its getting in replacements thats the major worry. No player will look at how we play, the relationship between fans and the team and the coach who just seems to stand there and offer nothing even though his coaching is reported to be world class and want to join, they will have much better offers playing in attacking sides at the better end of the table to where I see us finishing. If we cant replace the players we will sell then the decline will be sharp and the ownership will see how bad things can be, they've currently only really seen good times.

Still amazes me how they have changed from such a togetherness to this mess within a few weeks, if Beale was the best of the options I'd hate to see who was 2nd choice.

We only have one better player.

OP spot on, yes Clarke might be offski anyway but a bad dressing room due to the manager might see lads like
Hume and Rigg want away where they wouldn’t have been bothered about leaving 3 months ago.

It's a complete clutterfuck, we don't play to our strengths we are playing in front of team's with only one option, Clarke, as good as he is its easy for teams to crowd him out.

The club want our better players to leave. Even better if they’re seen angling for a move by the fans. IE Clarke agent last week.

Not a chance that Clarke, Neil, Hume, Ballard, Rigg will be here next season if Beale is still here
The only reason Cirkin & Huggins will still here is no one will sign them as they have legs made of candy floss.
They're contracted to the club, so unless we get offered a lot of money, they will be. Clarke will likely be sold. The others I'm not so sure.
