Its not all about apathy - there are the costs of transport and the impact of industrial action that has affected the railways for over a year. Someone with 30+ points can book cheap advance train tickets safe in the knowledge that they can have a match ticket if they want one, but those on 0 points or not able to be ST holders have to wait until a few days before and then have the problem of funding the travel at 2 or 3 times what it would have cost the 35 point guy.
