The Witcher 3

I'm not that far into it and haven't played the first two. Can understand Yennifer being flirty seeing as they have a past. There was some lass mentioned that he was with when he had amnesia, haven't met her bit I assume it will be similar.

Was daft when I had to go visit a witch, she saw me and casually walked inside. I went into her house, she'd gone through a portal to some meadow with a building in it. You find her in the bath, she must have f***ing ran there and gone to a bit of effort to get that set up in the 30 seconds ahead of me she was. She comments on her giving me a nice view then gives me shit for looking....

That was f***ing dumb.
You would, though?

Geralt & Keira have a past I'm sure of it, just not as strong as the one he has with Yen/Triss. She's basically the stop gap whilst he's looking for Yen/Triss

Past or not. Rushing to get in a bath, soaping up her tits while he watches, then asking for privacy afterwards is daft. It was forced titillation and contrived as fuck.

Seeing Yen's arse at the beginning of the game felt naturally done on the other hand.

She's just a natural witch whore & tease

Really into this now, just pissing about, did shag Keira last night then sent her off Caer Morgan (I Dinnar how to spell it)

I'm at level 10 and seem to have past the hump where I was struggling to find quests that weren't red. Doing stuff at the suggested level is a piece of piss.
A few questions:

How do I use boats?
How can I cook the raw meat I have?
At what stage should I start looking at crafting weapons and armour?
Are oils worth bothering with?

To use boats, you go the back of one press X/A (whichever platform you're on) to sit at the helm and then press the same to start up I think.

No idea about cooking the meat, maybe find a cooking station somewhere where there's a fire set up?

I never crafted any, I just collected the gold and good items and traded them in for armour/weapons

Oils are good for either selling or applying to your weapons to fight certain creatures - if you look at the bestiary (not sure if that's the correct spelling) on a specific enemy, it'll tell you what they're vulnerable towards. Sometimes, a specific oil is part of that.

Cheers, back of the boat ffs. Been mooching around the sail then saying "fuck it" and just swimming.

I'll have a look around about cooking. I can't help but feel that if I igni a rabbit to death it should be cooked.

I've only bought one weapon so far, a better silver sword, all other equipment is just loot I found that happens to be better than what I was using.

Do oils make much difference when attacking and do they last very long when on a sword? If it's something like +20% for 5 whacks I'm just not interested.

There's one part where you need to get to an island miles away, if you swam there you'd have been killed every time after 30 mins

That's true, it should be cooked - I don't normally cook the raw meat, I just buy it. Made Geralt rich as fuck

You'll buy more when you get further into the game, items get better and better the more you level up.

Oils are just an aid really, you don't need them to beat an enemy - it just supplies a bit more damage than usual (not sure how much more) - for enemies such as vampires and werewolves, the oils can be a huge help imo - others (like ghouls or whatever those flying things are) aren't needing oils to beat them.

On the game, have you did the Bloody Baron quest yet? That's probably one of the best mini storylines I've done on a game in a while.

I've almost finished as far as I know. The next part is joining him and his posse to save his wife.

Absolutely this, proper grim as fuck and a game company like EA would have made a game out of that alone.

Oils are handy to have but basically just make things like 1% easier of something
