Thought I'd get involved with this month's comp ("music") since it's something I might be able to provide some insight for people who are interested.

I actually took this one with my phone. Just shows you don't need top of the range gear to get great snaps. I've got a couple of festivals coming up in July so I'll try get some new stuff to enter there I think!.

I'd like to stick with how it was for the last couple of months. I think it's nice that people don't know who has entered or each is doing when we vote. Especially when we open it up to the wider board.

Can we perhaps have two entries? ( from December as November has been set).

I've had a wee think and my initial thought is to continue to limit entries to one per person, for two reasons;
Some people seem more time restricted, so one entry keeps a level playing field
Selecting your best / most appropriate shot is part of the challenge

Happy to take on board people's opinions though.

two entries would only increase the chance of the usual suspects winning

therefore i'm all for it ;). @TiredEyes
 
When we did water we allowed two entries. You don't have to enter two but can if you want. Maybe some months then? Allows maybe for a "traditional" entry and maybe for one more "outside the box" entry.

Yes but then you get people questioning whether one is really "outside of the box" and why someone just has 2 entries. I don't see how allowing 2 entries per person will improve or grow the competition. Lets crack on how we are and review in the new year.

OK - :) (they didn't have to be "outside the box" - just gives more scope for the photographer to meet a theme in different ways).

If we had twenty entrants I'd say one entry was defintely the limit, but when on average there are about six photos to choose from, twelve would make it a little more interesting. But I don't mind, it was just a thought. Perhaps we can have a vote on changes/no changes to the comp in the new year then??
