It is annoying as fuck when tiny kids squeal in your ear at the match and their thick parents think"eeee our Sid singing at the match"
It gets on mine and many others tits when they kick the back of your chair,or even worse turn round for 90mins looking at you.

My kids at that age had to sit behaved ,regardless if it's at the match or to see a film.Basic manners apply to children regardless of location.

Maybe not all parents are as perfect as you obviously were. That's no reason to take it out on the kids.

If there is one think I really hate in life its smug parents who think they are better than everyone else, without knowing the circumstances or anything really.

He sits no where near there and I certainly will sit on me high horse, and if your 30 how is yes longer? How have you supported longer than a bloke who is 78, me sums aren't great but even I can work that out

Nope me
Your reading needs improvement too. You said he has probably supported longer and I confirmed that for you.
I then told you where you could find someone who takes joy out of our misery. (Don't go kicking off it might not be that exact seat!)
The horse reference was due to your pile of plop but hey lets not worry I was venting about a specific group and generalising not thinking about your 78 yo dad; sorry

Sorry I got confused as that used to seeing a Mr J thread with monkey man's like attached. I thought it was compulsory. ;)
It's funny, they like each other's posts as reliably as a current heavy Mag defeat, but when other people like posts that don't fit their stance, they seem to take umbrance

Smug because my kids behaved themselves in public places.?

I encountered parents like this when my kids were going through school. You know the type. They were on the PTA and regular church attenders. Pillars of the community. They drove a better car than everyone else and were in with the in crowd.

Guess whose kids ended up in a young offenders instution and a drug rehabilitation unit?

They were so obsessed with their public image and standing that they actually forgot about trying to be proper parents.

So did and so do mine, but I don't judge others or try and pretend I am better than anyone else. Being a parent is not easy.

Well I do,thick ignorant tossers who think their kid is the "centre of my universe".

Basic manners man,sit still and behave should apply to all kids in most circumstances.

Bull shit, me dad is 78 I'd like to bet he's supported better and longer, and if you can find joy on the face of any supporter when we score I'd like to find them. What a pile of horse plop
Treasure those moments. Used to love taking my Dad when he could still go and he loved the East Stand. I had a season ticket there but he used it more than me and always had a bit craic on with the owld fellas around us.

He loved taking the grand bairns as well.

I'm 30 so yes longer and if he sits around row 33 seat 380 ish I'm referring to him. If not you can continue to sit on your high horse
That's very close to me. Not close enough that I can hear them but I'd recognise them if they are regulars. There was one old gobshite there a couple of weeks ago but he's not a regular.
I'll look out for them but they aren't representative. My Dad's like that and sat in the West Stand for years. You get miserable twats all over the ground, they aren't exclusive to the East Stand.

I think we are more similar than you probably realise to be honest mate. Mine are both at University now one doing her final year and the other doing her masters and they have never caused us a bit of bother and I would like to think they are both respectfull and useful members of the community.

I just don't believe in pontificating about other peoples kids as its a hard job and some people have difficult circumstances to deal with and everyone has something to offer given the chance.

I treasure every single moment I get to go with him, soppy sentimental maybe, I'd never not go because of whatever league we were in, I can't imagine going without him. The Eaststand is perfect for him, it just pees me off a bit that because that is where he's comfy, and I don't mean comfy with a blanket and flask, that some would think he's a lesser supporter.

Depends what's in the flask, Janey.

What people forget is that we all get older and the people in the South stand now will hopefully grow old enough to want to move away and sit somewhere less vocal where they can sit and watch the game. Some of the people now sitting in the East stand with a blanket and a flask are probably the same people who created the great Roker Roar in the 60's in those legendary cup ties and the same people who stood on the terraces at Hillsborough in 73.

Time moves on.
