I think the club would be delighted if anyone wanted was to take Fletch or DG off our hands, problem is, up to now this does not seem to be happening. If we are honest aside from Defoe none are good enough and the first firm offer we have taken, in a bid to raise cash to strengthen a problem area.

Have you seen their record in the Championship? Now have a look at Wickham's...

Rhodes and McCormack didn't go/aren't linked with Premiership teams, really. They are the Championship equivalent of Diego Costa - a banker. So their price gets inflated.
 
I was school captain, first choice striker and had a hell of a shot for a kid, but always listened to Mr Edwards the PE teacher.

"Rule number 1 ....... if you won't score DON'T shoot!"

Wickham needs a Mr Edwards.

However, Connor hasn't exactly set the goal scoring charts alight and if between Dick and Lee they can bring someone in who can hit double figures, this is a significant improvement and would be deemed good business.

I cant understand why people refuse to acknowledge he's only 22 as well. I can think of few young players getting goals at that age; Rooney and Owen perhaps. Even Shearer only got 4 goals in his corresponding season in terms of age. He's going to be a very good player.
 
We seem to be the only club who don't understand the value of home grown and potential.

Other clubs charge through the nose for such attributes.......even if the player has been average.

When we got 16m for Henderson some on here thought it was great business. Now he is Liverpool captain and an England regular......which was not hard to predict. We should have demanded the same as the mags did for Carroll.

I love my club mate but selling our best young striker while we still have fletcHer and graham is not a good move.
