9/11, a total lie, but why?

Not watched the video. However, is this Silverstein bloke saying he knew that building 7 was going to be demolished, and then ordered it?

If so, 1. Why is he not arrested. If it's because of the government conspiracy, why has he not disappeared (particularly given one of the videos posted here earlier that flight 93 landed safely, and the CIA, or whoever, have managed to make hundreds of passengers disappear).

2. Does anyone really think that in the middle of all that f***ing chaos and carnage that someone would be taking orders from this bloke to demolish another building? And even if that was remotely true, how the fuck did anyone get near to prepare the demolition?

Sounds like the bloke could do with a little prescription of clozapine.

They simply change their minds for no reason, do they? This usually happens when something previously unknown is discovered, more often leading to a modification of existing theories. Isaac Newton was not wrong in his description of gravity and his equations are still useful today if you are sending spacecraft to the Moon. There is no way he could have ever detected the effects of general relativity described by Einstein because he didn't have accurate enough instruments, although later on the observed Mercury anomaly was unexplained until Einstein predicted such an effect should be seen. Anyway, if you think this has happened on "countless" occasions, presumably you can give a few examples.

Once a discovery has been made you can't undo it, and it has to be explained by whatever new theory is worked out.
Sorry, can you enlighten us with a source for this? Electrons have negative charge so I don't see how they can ever have been thought to move towards negative.

Since you've adopted such a high handed and patronising attitude, do the research yourself you lazy chod (may I suggest Google)

My limited education has shown me enough examples of science getting it completely wrong as to ttreat most scientific discoveries with a modicum of suspicion

I do broadly understand what is going on there, and no it's not the full and final picture, as any of the physicists working there would be happy to tell you. In fact they are now looking for the next particle, because taking small steps is how these things work. I think you were sceptical about them finding the Higgs when it was exactly what they were looking for as if it seemed too convenient, but of course if you were looking for your keys and found your keys you wouldn't think it was all that odd. They knew what it would look like and built a machine that would show it. Not a computer as you thought. This is because you can't see the Higgs by reflected light and so a normal microscope just wouldn't be suitable.

Out of interest do you believe in atoms, or is that just scientists guessing and making stuff up?

You appeared to suggest the idea of the big bang was post 1979.

It was complete and utter bollocks. It made assumptions about the scientists he derides. Perhaps he can come up with something that travels faster than light, but nothing has been found yet, and what's more all the observations so far without a single exception support the fact that nothing can do so. However, if something was found scientists would admit they were wrong and we would move on. It is not an assumption, as kensplace seems to think, that nothing can travel faster than light, it is based on observation.

I've been educated by the same books and similar curriculum as you have so we all have the same understanding of what an atom is or is not.

It's all hypothetical at the end of the day.

Light speed travel, faster than light travel - we can barely get above the speed of sound unless it's a military aircraft or weapon of some kind so all the theoretical stuff is just some scientist's hot air.

As for big bang, it's a theory that fits for most scientists at the moment. We've no way of checking so let them believe what they like, I won't lose much sleep or even pay much attention

It hasn't.
You haven't.
It isn't.
It isn't.
We have.
Don't bother.

Conspiracy Theorists are not interested in facts. They have convinced themselves that they are part of the elite few that know all the answers and desperately want to show the world how clever they are.
They really are pathetic.

Truthers are not interested in facts. They have convinced themselves that the elite few know all the answers and are truthful at all times.

You mistrust science but believe the CT's?

Rightio then.

Where have I said that I believe the CT's?

I neither trust nor mistrust science.

There are certain branches of science, quantum theory for one, which are so theoretical as to be of little use to anyone except a quantum physicist

You're all over the shop here. So much so I don't think even you know what you believe.

Explosions gather more power the more obstacles you put in their way.

Put together the above fact with 100+ tons flying at 450mph into a building I imagine it's conclusive that it was terrorists.
