Never played any of the Dark Souls, so as expected I'm not doing very well. I wish there were more save points
Chose the hardest one to start with
Dark Souls 1 even had more bonfires/lamps than this.

Bloodborne is as glorious as it is grotesque, a harsh and unyielding exercise in getting battered mercilessly while feeling encouraged the whole painful way. While very much a Souls game through and through, the switch from methodical and slow progression to a faster, ultimately more savage environment provides just enough of a twist to give it a wholly unique feel, a more empowering journey, for both the player and the opposition. Bloodborne is something truly special – a barbaric horror RPG that will giveth and taketh away in perfect measure, wrapped up in a perverse world that will refuse to let you go.
You can also hit crazy villagers with a cane that’s also a whip before toasting them with a handheld flamethrower. Because of course you can.

Yeah I chose the axe and pistol nee idea how to equip. I'm dodging and that but punching does like 3 damage

I generally play games on their hardest settings. Is there one difficulty on this or more? How do you reckon I'll cope with it? What I've seen looks f***ing nails and I don't want to be pulling my hair out. Are there one hit kills? I managed hardest setting on Alien Isolation fairly easily one I'd mastered the mechanics...Been to that Dreamworld place aye?

No difficulty settings as far as I can tell but you can choose a character setting that gives you nearly zero base stats.
How do I equip weapons when I press use its greyed out??

Just the one difficulty, ultra, extreme, legendary hard.
Well when you're new that is, when you get used to it the game become easier, still very hard though.
