How bloody good is Columbo?

Best detective bar none. Also class is his dog who he just calls 'the dog'.

Back to the op - you can't blame cash for going on the way he did with that ungrateful bible bashing bitch as a wife. Even Columbo felt sorry for him at the end - not enough to let him go like.

Hes class.

The episode with Donald Pleasance is truly outstanding, great acting from them both and an excellent cat and mouse script.

And for ingenuity of crime scene, there cant be much better than the episode with Ruth Gordon 'I was killed by....' or whatever it was. Great TV.

Edit: This one

Bit too relaxed about corpses.
he's great though. Always solves it when I've watched.
Love the one with the chef

It's great. I love it when he apologises for having to ask questions, or should he come back later making them feel like he is the good guy. The he goes "er, one more thing, Sir"
This observation is the crux of my Columbo impression

It's as good as Dial m for murder every episode but it'll never get the credit

Grew up watching Columbo on repeats with my Dad.

Somebody mentioned Cracker. This was one I watched and loved as a teenager. Got them all on DVD
