Little Hitlers

My mates son has done 2 tours (maybe 3) of Afghanistan, is 28 years old and married but got refused 4 beers in a supermarket as he didn't have I'd. His wife, who is a lawyer refused to buy them for him and walked away killing herself laughing at his pet lip.
Believe it or not, I got refused 4 cans of cider in Sainsburys, at 37 years of age! I couldn't do nowt but laugh!

That is absolutely shocking. So the driver would have left an 11 year old girl on the street?

fuck's sake
It's simply that which has narked the fuck out of me.

I got a reply from their customer service telling me the driver was right to make her pay full price, and that the 90p is a reduced rate with the Under 16 pass and that every other bus driver for the past 2 weeks have been charging her wrong.

I've quoted the website back to the dozy fuck to say that 90p is the children's rate, with 60p being the discounted children's rate.

I'm on a one now with the arseholes.

They aren't allowed to refuse to carry a child even if they don't have the correct fare.

The driver took the bairns pop card off her last year as the photo was worn, she started using someone elses till she got it renewed and got caught and fined.

I used to say to that the worst people were DJs and bus drivers. I had a bias. It was just that I 'noticed' that bus drivers seemed to be really rather rude and had a bit of a complex. But then there were quite a few years where I didn't need to take a bus so I forgot about it, Then...

I was having a REALLY bad day at work once. My train had been delayed and re-routed or something and there was some problem with the onward part of the journey so I attended the bus station to see if that would be a quicker option to get home rather than walk across my home town to get the train from an alternative station.

I asked at the kiosk/office place for information and was told that a bus was just about to leave for my destination. So I ran like buggery and stepped aboard.

As I say, I'd had a really bad day... so when the bus driver looked witheringly at my £5 note (the smallest denomination I had) and said (rather high handedly I thought) "You're kidding mate, I can't possibly change that" and suggested I get off the bus to get some change... and refused to say whether he'd be there when I got back with it or to confirm when the next bus was... I sort of ... well ... laughed in a fatalistic 'oh dear' kind of way. My day, I thought, that had been bad but just got slightly more irritiating. I departed the bus, ran to the office place, confirmed that the next bus was an hour away, got some change and ran back to the original bus... which was surprisingly still there.

When I tried to pay the driver told me that he wasn't going to take my fare until I apologised for laughing. "Pardon?!" I said. He repeated himself. So I said "Forget it. I'll get a taxi" And I did. Cost me £20. Which was fine. I've never been on a bus since. My bias against bus drivers is back with a vengeance. No biggie but these things feed our prejudices.

I can't believe I typed all that.

A bloke like that would be an arsehole no matter what his job was .

still ne answer to my question though :( could/ should this have not been sorted in the 6 weeks holidays ?

can i ?, cheers , ahem,

eh? so you are saying if someone got on his bus & asked, for example how much to sunderland & it was 2 quid but they only had 1 he wouldn't let them get on ? that's his job mate , don't understand how hes a wanker for that mind , if you went in a shop for a chicken that cost £5 & you only had £4 you wouldn't get it
You can say that again...

I used to walk to school and spend my bus fare on ket. Problem solved.

thats what i did, also got £1 dinner money a day then buy dinner tickets of kids who's parents didn't work but didn't want tickets, 5 dinner tickets for 50P.

then on yts we forged lecturer signature to get a student id pass that got you cheap student travel while claiming travel expenses of YTS , then at age of 21 in a full time job , looked young (in shirt & tie ) bus driver told me to sod off & had to start paying

A pointless post, just a rant!

11 year old bairn's been a getting bus to her new school at the cost of 90p a day, she's waiting her school bus pass to get on for 60p.

Anyways, gets on today in her uniform, '£2' says the driver, the fucker wouldn't let her on without her paying an adult fare.

I absolutely detest little wankers like that, luckily the bairn managed to find some cash in the bottom of her bag, otherwise she would've been left while her mates were on the bus and being late for school. What type of bloke has to play the little hitler to a 11 year old kid?

I'm not a violent person, but I could happily wallop wankers like this in the mush.

Rant over!

Well I am violent so I will do it for you mate.....

Bus driver is a total bellend but fuck sake man it's only £1.10 not exactly enough to be arsed about

Probs a bit before your time but we used to sell bus tokens to each other. So long ago (early 70s) that i can't remember how it worked. Sometimes when i was dolling off i would buy a nice big hamburger off the hot food counter in Woolworths.
