f***ing hope so. This time they might even stick to the script, make it look like Ben Richards is starving rather than fed on beef steak the whole of his life and keep the gritty feel of the original story. Cracking novella by King but the film butchered it.

Just read up what ya meant premise of the book does sound good, if they do make a remake would be good if they followed the book, going to have to buy it today now.

I'd love to see a film adaptation of the long walk, another one of kings bachman novels. I think frank darabont has the rights.

A low budget film is in the pipeline apparently but I've heard that said before. You wouldn't need a massive budget for this anyway. Would make a wonderfully brutal film but you'd need a script writer who could write dialogue.
