Stoke 1985 2-2. Chamberlain scored two for them I think. Remember their fans spitting from the upper tier.

Anfield 1990-91 I was 15, my dad worked in liverpool at the time and we were sat in the home crowd. Think we lost 2-0

Following on from the earlier brilliant thread about your first ever lads game, most of them will have been home games. When was your first away game and how old were you and any memories etc.

Mine was 14/9/1974 for the short but exciting trip to York I think with John Tennick with me da looking after me. I was nine and a couple of months shy of my 10th birthday. I see bairns nowadays with a few seasons of away trips at the same age, but it’s a lot different now compared to then!

We won the game thanks to a very late Vic Halom scrambled effort in front of our huge support at what I presume was the Bootham Crescent End? Vic was my childhood hero anyway, but this cemented his position as my favourite ever SAFC player.

It was Birmingham the band was called The Cream of Hendrix.

Wolves 1-1 Sunderland

Keane for them, Phillips for us deep into stoppage time. Absolute limbs in our end, what a way to start! I was about 11.

2-2 will do me, D-Ream. I know music that's why I aspire to be on Rodwells wages a true genius at work. Do fook all but get paid lots of money ummm that's a good plan essay.

Leeds away, Keanos second game in charge. We were 0-2 up before they even let us in the ground:cool:
Can’t remember the goal scorers, Kavanagh, Stephen Elliott maybe and ...someone else. Maybe David Connolly as I remember chanting his name a lot

Magical time to be a lads fan though, what I wouldn’t give to get that feeling about football back
