10 years old with me dad, car parked in moss side, had to pay a kid to "watch the car". We got beat with 15k there and got relegated. Unbelievable atmosphere.

Portsmouth in the FA Cup in 2010, lost 2-1. Had travelled up and down for home games, god knows why it took me that long for an away game.

Brentford away , 1st game in the old 3rd division.
1-0 and big Keith Bertschin with the winner in the 90 degree August heat.
15 years old and became a man when I got stuffed at poker on the bus on the way down by some “old experienced hands”. Bastards !!

1979 SJP with @Daffy and his dad Garry Rowell Hatrick, in the Paddocks with Newcastle fans
My second away day. Was in main stand Gallogate paddock with loads of Sunderland fans at end of game trying not to celebrate.
First away was at Blackpool in April mid 70s, I think we drew.

Apart from Newcastle and Middlesbrough my first proper away game was 1990 Norwich away, gabbiadini scored a snorter , first day of season, 15 year old and pissed on scrumpy jack, class day even though we got beat

Milwall Semi Final 2004

Must have done 150 or so since

Rotherham last game of the 87/88 season, a canny day out. Think it was also my first time standing. Coppers were dicks as I remember.

Norwich 1977 in the relegation battle. I was 10 and stood at the very front right behind the goal, i had one of those proper wooden rattles which annoyed the fuck out of people around me.

When we equalised to go 2-2 i've got it in my head that a sunderland fan ran on the pitch, went up to bobby kerr and started stripping his clothes off and giving them to kerr. But nobody has been able to verify to me later if that did happen
