Sheffield Wednesday away 2006 when I was 16. Great day, was a bit pissed mind. Went down in a minibus drinking asda vodka and blue charge . The birth of the Keano chant
I was at that game. The lad offering the sheff wed fans on the pitch was class!

Soft bastards sly’d him one after stewards eventually tried to hoy him out.

We were in the Daily Star newspaper that game on the face in the crowd feature. Despite 3 or 4 of us being pictured, none of us were “Circled” in the picture so missed out on the 24 cans of Carling
If there's a camera it always seems to some how find your face.

Shameful to say I cannot remember, first few games at least were not at home. Seem to remember it being a London club, possibly QPR night match in the 90s possibly around 96. Sure it was a night match

Bradford away 1987, might have been Easter weekend, I was 9. First one with my mates was Derby 92? Won 1-0 big bad Don.
Was the Bradford one the one when Stoke came in as caretaker? Ask ya da - we lost 3-2 after leading 2-1 and I’ve hated John Hendrie ever since:evil:

Although they somehow missed him at Burton when he started the “ we want a riot” chant ;) ;) ;)

That was a Saturday and think that was not my first, I was thinking about that but don't think it was. Those games till I was about 13 were the only time I have seen them live sober apart from Gillingham for that cup game

Newcastle mid 70s went with me dad. A testimonial iirc but can’t remember whose. First league game, Chelsea late 80s

Aye, I think that's why we went. Me Fatha used to borrow my Uncles car back then, Mark 2 escort, cream with a brown vinyl roof. I remember McCall playing for them, but it seems he always has.

Knows when to be conspicuous and just let some poor lass take all the blame.

Seeing them sober lol

I remember being at Charlton & you had a junior ticket & went in pissed :rolleyes:

Wolves in about 1993.

Stadium was under redevelopment but we were in the tatty bit. Broken concrete on the terraces with weeds growing through. Catering was pathetic. Ladies toilets were a joke - broken doors, no toilet seats, no paper and no sink - just a tap running onto the floor! Got beat. Train was held up on the way home due to a suspicious unattended suitcase that nobody claimed so a special transport police team had to remove it.

around 1968. I was 18. West Ham away. Got beat 8-0.

WHU had Hurst, Moore and Peters in their side. Hurst scored 6.
Hurst got six but the first was handball. I was working down there at the time.
I have seen 8 put past us three times:cry::cry:

Notts County away in early 80s.Went with football team I played for.Im sure we wore an all red strip that day.Le Coq Sportif.

Didn’t he call her “collateral damage” or summink :)
Best be careful as I need tickets for Bristol, Miiiilllllwwwwwaaaalll, Derby & Fulham :)

Following on from the earlier brilliant thread about your first ever lads game, most of them will have been home games. When was your first away game and how old were you and any memories etc.

Mine was 14/9/1974 for the short but exciting trip to York I think with John Tennick with me da looking after me. I was nine and a couple of months shy of my 10th birthday. I see bairns nowadays with a few seasons of away trips at the same age, but it’s a lot different now compared to then!

We won the game thanks to a very late Vic Halom scrambled effort in front of our huge support at what I presume was the Bootham Crescent End? Vic was my childhood hero anyway, but this cemented his position as my favourite ever SAFC player.

Gary Rowell hat trick at the landfill. Fuck me what a day that was. One of my few memories as an 8 year old. Never thought for 1 minute almost 40 years later I'd still be hooked
