probably been done to death on here, but always an interesting read...

In 1993 my folks got me a 1979 VW Golf, sky blue...1.1 engine.
The seatbelts were the old school loop jobbies...the body work was 'ok' my dad had stuck some decent second hand wheels on it...the engine was suberb though...great little car...
Let's have 'em...
 


Brand new 51 plate fiesta, 1.25 16v. Popped the back shocks the second day I had it, jumping it
 
Ford Escort Popular 1.1 in burgundy. Hand me down from parents.

Firs car I bought myself was a Citroen BX with that funny suspension. Wrote it off six months later. Blessing in disguise.
 
Ancient red Ford Fiesta 957cc when I was 17. Thought I was cool as owt driving it.
 
A Golf, from a used car salesman. It caused nothing but problems from the moment I bought it. Was deemed unroadworthy a couple of weeks after I bought it. Brought the car salesman to court, won the case & went to Thailand for 3 weeks with the cheque he gave me.
 
S Reg Fiat Punto 1.2..... if that's not bad enough, it was mint green :lol:

In fantastic condition and got it for about £300 when it was really worth over £1000 so can't complain and it served me well even though I flogged it and put a LOT of miles on it..... still never liked it though.
 
I suppose the first one I bought myself was a 56 plate Clio to get me back and forth from work.
If I have one word of advice for any of you, it's never buy a car which has "coil packs" because if one goes (and there's 4 in a Clio) it buggers up everything.
 
1971 or there abouts Vauxhall viva in 1980 when I was aged 21. Parked it up after 6 weeks and bought another motorcycle.
