Your biggest influences in Music taste

Painted haversacks man🤣🤣🤣
We all had them, with the big flap painted with your favourite bands emblem.
Had the Queen crest on mine. Took me f***ing ages.🤣🤣🤣
I had the strangler's rat logo, from the back of their first album on mine in high school and then Bob Marley smoking a massive joint copied from the back of the Burning album after that.

None I can think of? I just fell in love with great music, regardless of genre. It just felt natural to be drawn to quality songs. I found myself loving and collecting Soul music the most. Robbie Vincent's radio soul show did influence me in the late 80s, thinking about it. But it was the song 'You Sure Love To Ball' by Marvin Gaye, that turned me onto Soul music. I heard that song on the radio and it changed my life.
Reggae, Funk, Disco, Folk, House, New Wave, Rock'n'Roll, Jazz, Balearic, Hip Hop, Psychedelic Rock, Crooners and Big Band are other genres that I love and collect.

1978. I was 11. Lad called Ju lived across the street from me was a few year older. Punk rocker. Made his own clothes. Destroy. Nicked one of his dad's ELO tapes and taped his records for me. I had this shitty little mono cassette player and I played the fuck out of that tape, over and over again non stop. He worked out all the lyrics for Never Mind the Bollocks. Love to meet him again. And John Peel of course. Changed my life.

Probably my older cousin, he had albums by Tyrannosaurus Rex, Free, Jethro Tull, and a single of “King Of The Rumbling Spires” which I really liked, and still do.

The only albums he had that I haven‘t got into are Bob Dylan’s.
