You never see Charvers running the marathon

charvers would still smash them. they exist to piss other people off

Even if they could get a few bobs back handing them back in for recycling ? They would've paid for the recycling fee when they bought the drinks and would lose money if they still smashed them up ? Let's say five of these young people had a night in, each drinking say ten bottles or cans of either pop or beer. That's 50 cans or bottles at 17p each, £8.50 in total just on the floor in the house the next morning. Surely that would be enough for a pack of tabs and a couple new cans of drink for them if they handed the lot in for recycling instead of smashing them or leaving them everywhere ? Wouldn't that be enough for some of them to change their ways a bit ?

I doubt it mate! the daft fuckers would probably think it even cooler to smash them.

I don't know mate, but it's a f***ing good idea, so they probably don't ..

thought about it the other day, just got a composter and was filling it with tatie peelings and noticed my brown bin and thought the crafty bastards, I bet they are ya know and there is some coin to be made there.

Oh they're not as daft as people make them out, they get daft twats like us to do the work for them too and charge us for the privilege.

I think Charvers dont run because of the weight of the jewellery they wear

ona boring note, its because you have to be well organised and raise a lot of cash for charity to get a number, therefor the vast majority of chavs cant be arsed

id like to see the demographic of runners though, seem to be mostly white (aside from the elite runners) by the looks of it, wonder if they do a tick box as per normal with ethnicity and colour etc. any one got any stats?

Shit bait that like.

People sufficiently well motivated to run a marathon arent likely to lack the motivation to work. IMHO.

That's horrible that is. How come you guys don't have a better recycle system in place where you get money back from every bottle you buy ? 96% of all bottles and cans here are taken back to the shops for recycling. Each can or plain bottle gives you 1.50 kroner (about 17p) back. The bigger the bottles the more they give back (3 kroner or about 34p for a 1.5 litre bottle). If something similar came into place in the UK these young people would maybe think a second time before breaking them onto the ground like that ?

That explains the amount of Chinese people raiding the bins for empties all along Nyhavn last time I was there.

That was actually in the news here sometime last year. Apparently they work together in groups and are organised by just a handful of people. The papers described it almost like a mini mafia who won't let anyone else have a go at collecting cans and bottles like that. There was footage on the telly, too, showing how they stood close by waiting for people to finish their cans and bottles just in case they threw it in the bin afterwards so they could get to them first. There were even talk about trying to block them from doing it in a way to 'help' the homeless in our capital who used to collect cans and bottles this way, too. But since the 'Chinese bottle & can mafia' arrived the homeless have been forced elsewhere. I don't think they have done anything about it yet but then again I don't know what they could do to stop them.
