From the Guardian Fiver:

It's the return of the Spot When Joe Kinnear Says Something Factually Accurate Game!:

"Every top club in the land has got [a director of football]" - nope.

"I've been a manager for 35 years" - not here, either.

"I've won every award there is in football as a player" - no.

"My experience as a manager for all those years - 10 years at Wimbledon ..." - ooh, close. Actually seven.

"... two years at Nottingham Forest ..." - tch. More like 10 months.

" ... almost two years at Newcastle" - bah! Just over six months.

"I think all those qualities put me head and shoulders above every other director of football" - nope, no winners. Be sure to join us for the next round whenever he next opens his mouth.

When you start a new job you always get a bit of leeway as you settle in, but there comes a point quite quickly where you're expected to start doing what you've been hired for or you get found out to be inadequate for the job.

Either Ashley has inexplicably hired this buffoon to make NUFC a laughing stock, or he has to pull the reins in sharpish and tell JFK to button it and stop ruining what's left of the club's reputation.

The press will pick up on these exaggerations, and some of them will probably have a score to settle with him after his first day outburst last time. NUFC are going to get pilloried at some point and whilst this will be hilarious for us, Ashley has to stop this happening fast, his finances depend on it.

Pardew may well see this idiot off very quickly and be all the stronger because of it. So it's win-win for us lol

Strange way of looking at it. The media have you in their pocket.

"I’m probably the only football manager to be a director of football.

“I don’t know any other ex-managers who have. I’ve been a manager for 35 years. I’ve been Manager of the Year. I’ve won every award there is in football as a player.

"I also won the league 7 times on Kevin Toms football manager on my speccy back in the 80's.

:lol::lol::lol:

Tidied

He's alright is Joe, leave off him.

You seem to be on some kind of mission without any facts or opinions other than,

"Leave Joe alone, he's great".

But, please don't stop ........ it's as weird and hilarious as your hero.

Anyone who shoves themself in the media spotlight should expect what they get.

He went to the media and announced his appointment before the club did.

He went on to Talksport to make his pronouncements without anyone holding his arm up his back so has to take the consequences ..... anyone with '35 years in management' is lying if he says 'I only went on to talk about the good old days with Bobby Gould.'

His problem is that he always believes he can outsmart the journalists but they run rings round him and he ends up looking like a clown.

The bloke's a liar, a hypocrite and a hairs breadth from another outburst

Leave Joe alone man, show a bit of respect for the only man to have won the world cup as a player with three different countries

Yous lot want to mind yourselves taking the piss...this guys knows all the top managers in world football and speaks to them on the phone every day. He'll be on the blower telling his mates not to sell us any players.

I bet Fergie, Dalglish and George Graham have already blacklisted us!

For once I think the Mags have put it better than us ........ from Toontastic,

"His complete lack of experience in the role.

His inability to communicate, his shortcomings when acting in a professional manner, his limited capacity to think before speaking, his proven track record of lying.

The fact he has not been involved in the game for 9 years now, outside of his short stint managing us.

The fact he's never unearthed a player that's shown more ability than a cart horse.

His stupidity, his aggression, his age, his health.......the combination of all those things mean he will not do well in the role."

He's already told them they are full of shit, he's forgot more about Football than the lot of them would ever know, and they are ugly fat fuckers with small cocks who need a good slap...that's why they don't like him really.

I'm telling you, we need to keep our heads down as this guy bears grudges. If we keep this up he'll be on the phone to Monaco to tell Arsene Wenger not to have any dealings with us.
