Finch and Maxwell for the 20/20

Who says we don't get big names over here?

It is a bit frustrating other teams getting big names, but we won the 50 over stuff with the local lads, guess we will have Hastings back

Finch has actually signed for the full season once he's finished with the IPL. He had a good season for them last year, actually seemed to do better in the championship than he did in the one day stuff. Looking forward to Lancashire v Yorkshire more than I was, cracking atmosphere and usually a decent game.

As you said it would be nice for Durham to pick up an overseas batsman for the T20 (assuming we can't afford a full season from someone), any chance of getting Warner back? I read yesterday he's bought a house for millions of dollars so I'm sure we could get him cheap, doesn't need the money and could give something back to one of the teams that helped him on his way ;)

People like Warner and Smith won't be available, as they are the premier players.

Finch did decent in the championship, his first class stats are poor, but still think they are eyeing up as a potential test batsmen down the line, especially if Lehman is in charge

The likes of Warner will be in the Ashes squad.
It was a tongue in cheek suggestion but I forgot the ashes were on to be honest. There's no Australia a team tour to England this summer so their fringe players might be more available to English teams than they ordinarily would. Think they're going to India later in the summer though

I reckon Lyth will be nailed on as opener for England as finch is playing county stuff too.

Although in saying that he bats lower in 4 day stuff so probably not.
