I've been going there at least once a month for about the last 4 years due to my lass (no pics) being from there. We generally can't stand it.

Good place for a night out or a stag do but unless you're off to the races I can't think how you would spend 3 days there. All my opinion of course, each to their own I suppose.

Same here. Nearly everyone I have spoken to about York who isn't from here goes on about how good it must be to live there, but really it isn't. If your not into your history which I'm not its just as boring as any other place.

Agree its pretty good for a night out though.
 
Historic City - i'm a keen photographer. Maybe i view things in a different way to you. Alehouses - plenty of them, nuff said. Chance to get away from home, nowt better. It's easy to spend 3 days in York. Certainly better than 3 days in Ferryhill, but what isn't?
