 I'm talking about giving so much possession away against top teams and how it will come back to bite you on the arse sooner or later
Possession means absolutely nothing if you don't do anything with the ball.

Counter attacking football is all about inviting and absorbing pressure, given that we're not one of the stronger teams in this competition I've no problem with us playing like this.

Thats the point im making, if you keep giving top teams like france, germany, spain so much possession of the ball, they WILL punish you sooner or later.

We will get beat sooner or later but the best way to play against top teams (with our current players) like France is the way we did yesterday imo. Conceedin possession for periods of the game means nowt if the opposition aren't creating clear cut chances like France didn't. Dunno what you are disagreeing with then.

Terrible newspaper anyway.

Looks like it's going down the be 'controversial to get sales' route.

What do you suggest we do, call up Spanish players instead?

Keeping possession is not in our nature so the top teams will always have more of it than us.

We could try to play a possession game, and get battered by teams who are a million times better than us at it
or we could try to stop them passing their way through us by sitting deep and keeping our shape

Dont know what worse people reading the pile of shite

or them printing it

"France now play a bit like Spain, it is normal that we try to imitate them, because Spain play with a very nice style of two touches, and it is certainly a role model," he explained.

"But obviously, as it also happens to Spain, it is complicated when you play against teams that are waiting for you and put men behind the ball, [as is] what has happened today."' - Benzema

No Karim, it's easy when you have lots of possession you fool.
