Yippee we got a draw

Alexi Lallas and Michael Ballack were arguing about this on the post-match analysis I watched. Ballack said England were boring and it wasn't how football should be played, Lallas responded "we can't all be Germany, they did what they needed to do against a stronger team and there's a beauty in that".......you could tell they were genuinely pissed off with each other too. Macmanaman (suprisingly) summed it up best saying it's ok to play that way against france and do a job, if they line up the same way in the next too questions will rightly be asked.

I think the media vendetta might actually help out Hodgson with the genuine fans. In the past when the media have stuck the boot in the manager has generally been disliked or has failed with a good squad. Hodgson is a nice bloke working with a poor set of players and I don't think people will like him taking the blame, they'll see right through the "we want 'arry" campaign.

21 attempts on goal to our 5 shows they did threaten, just a tad!

Name me a good chance that France had, anything even close to the one Milner missed.

But in my opinion, Chelsea didn't deserve to win the Champions League doing that. It's the type of football people don't want to see (well, I don't want to see), that deserves to get anything from matches.

What was your reaction to Ji's winner against Man City?

Unbelievable, we do not deserve that, what a tragedy. MoN out!

:?:

They wanted him to fail from the start. Shite paper, hope we do well just to piss them off

the FA should ban them from any england press release. get behind us or fuck off

Those two headers in a row in first half? But agree that we kept them at arm's length most of the time and was decent point. Hodgson was obviously hoping that we will still be able to qualify by winning last game when Rooney is back to add more cutting edge and ability in final third.

Germany were no great shakes and were hanging on themselves in last ten minutes. Portugal must be kicking themselves for not having more of a go sooner.

I think the way England set about it last night was a bit embarassing to be honest.

For fucks sake, we aren't Andorra - we've got a team full of players who play for the some of the biggest clubs in one of the best leagues in the world. If we are going to turn up against France and hoy the white flag up before we've even started then fuck knows what we'll do if we have to play Spain or Germany.

we didnt. we would have been 2-0 up if milner didnt fuck up. hardly throwing up the white flag

It is an accurate representation of how everyone is acting though, they absolutely hammered us, we were lucky to get a draw, ergo, yippee!

Righto:roll:

All you twats moaning about last night, its the same way we have been playing since O'Neill arrived. Total hypocrites.

This is why I don't venture over to PF very much, people always try to team up on you and force their opinions onto you, and if you don't accept them you get abused, told to leave and accused of being a WUM.

Fact is, I like watching proper pass and move, quick football, not park the bus football. And I think, teams that park the bus don't deserve any recognition or reqard for those tactics.

And you watch Sunderland???

You can't say that - had Milner's gone in we would just have sat back earlier and the second goal would never have happened.

then itd be 1-0 up then which again isnt 'throwing up the white flag before its even started'

Some right bedwetting fannies on this thread.

The Sun - recycled toilet roll of a rag that is written by cretins, ran by absolute balloon knots, and bought and read by the simpletons of society.

You wouldn't really call either of them clear cut though. I don't think Hodgson thinks that at all, he knows we don't have the technical players to live with the top sides so we have to keep them in front of us, which we did very well.

I think it's muppetry of the highest order to demand open play and glorious failure. It's attitudes like this that get us nowhere in tournament football.

People forget as well, the last time we were in serious danger of winning a tournament was Italia '90 under Robson, and we were super tight and organised under him, we only scored something like a 7 goals in 6 matches and a couple of those were in extra time.
