Yaya Toure (managerial suggestion)

My number 1 choice for the job is Will Still. After reading up on him and watching his coaching masterclass on youtube i think we should do everything possible to get him. However, are we will to throw good money to prise a manager away from a good job? Not too sure.

With that been said, like all of us the past few days we've been thinking about who could be on KLD and Speakmans list. A common theme by listening to podcasts and numerous posts on here is that it could be an up and coming young coach who may not be entirely in the forefront of peoples minds. Who i thoight of is someone who once scored an over hit cross against us.

A player whos has a stellar career, multiple trophies and personal awards. Played and worked with top managers and top clubs. Crucially someone who can speak a few languages and has made no secret of his desire to coach......... Yaya Toure anyone?

Do you know what "thoight" did?

Viera, Rooney, lampard, Keane had the same credentials and very much had their limits. What makes you think yaya will be any different?

Never trust anyone called Will. They are useless fecks, and sit with their legs crossed. Wrang'uns

Patrick Vieira

I dont tbh. I was just thinking of recently retired ex pros who would fit the model.
I often think that ex pros expect management, not be easy but almost expect it to be second nature as they know a lot about playing in a successful team. I’m yet to see many successful ex pros view management as a mastery in itself.

The ones that are usually prominent as managers are the ones who typically had their careers finished earlier and needed to make a living and are therefore bought in. Other than that you tend to see ex pro managers that were less successful as players.
