Can you explain what you mean by poorish [sic] form? What was he doing that he isn't doing now and vice versa?
He isn't playing as well. He is certainly giving the ball away a lot more frequently.

Imo I find it amazing people can't see his performance levels have dropped.

I find it "amazing" that people can't see his role has changed and he doesn't have to throw himself about the pitch anymore covering 2 or 3 positions. Prior to Xmas when BSA was playing 5-2-3 and M'Vila was basically on his own in CM (when Toivonen was the other CM) so is it any wonder he started to look tired?
His role is to win the ball, provide screening for Kirchoff to pick the passes and to cover the full backs when they go forward.

Sorry like but imo thats making excuses for him. He simply isn;t playing that well. If thats all his job is to do then we could save ourselves a fortune and get a run of the mill player on lower wages to do that job equally as well.

Was he poor on Saturday? don't think he was, wouldn't have said he was poor against Newcastle either. think you're being harsh on him being "poor" in fact i don't think anyone in the midfield 3 has been "poor" since about Bournemouth

bottom line is m'vila ( whom i'm a fan of) form has dipped.. to the point where he's a passenger.

You can't argue with them man. All the "Cattermole is my hero" lot are back in force because he has finally got his finger out and had a good game (which is aid by Kirchoff and M'Villa being the anchors allowing him to get forward (thus producing more passes/attacks further forward)) . Some on here immediately think he should be starting and M'Villa should be peddled, it's pathetic.

M'Villa was carrying the midfield alone for so long whilst Catts was looking like a 5 year old boy being told to go play with the big lads. And here we are again at the end of the season and finally Catts is playing for his wages (again). Every season, same old same old shite. But if we stay up he will be "the difference" again and be hailed as a hero.

The arse licking of Cattermole on here is f***ing outstanding. Never seen a player have so many grown men fawn over them.

It has nothing to do with Cattermole, Cattermole has had an utterly shit season.
You're jumping to the wrong conclusion.

No .. He wasn't
He was, imo.

he's playing nowhere near the levels he was.. fact. thus he isn't contributing as much as he could.
we need everybody playing at their best.. no excuses

We have a midfield now, all doing their jobs and sharing responsibility and doing their bit. That's why he isn't standing out as much as he did 1st half of the season. jeez how hard is that to understand...

Those thinking we can just buy a run of the mill player to be as good are idiots. That's why we are in this f***ing mess season after season, buying shite players who we think can "do a job".

He isn't doing anything a run of the mill player couldn;t do (at present)

I don;t buy this "he's doing a job and his role has changed". He can do a lot better, the lad is a good player.

EDIT: Your argument that Cattermole has been shite is absolutely pathetic btw, that has fuck all to do with people saying M'vila isn;t playing well.

How then? By all means he wasn't the best out of the middle 3 but he was nowhere near to being poor .
How? What specifics do you require?
He certainly isn't having as big an influence on games as he was and I simply don't think thats because Kirchhoff has came in as, imo, M'vila wasn;t playing paticularly well before Kirchhoff came into the side. He has gave the ball away more than previously as well.

The lad is a good player, occasionally very good, however I just don't think he is playing that well. If you don;t agree thats fair enough.

in mvila case all i'm asking is to play at the same levels we know he can..if he wont, why?
Kirchhoff £750k looks an abosolute steal, kazan will want £6m+ and then we have to reach an agreement on his massive wages

You keep saying that but you can't actually tell us what he is/isn't doing. Just saying his performance has "dropped" or he's "nowhere near the levels" means nowt. Just because a player doesn't stand out, it doesn't mean he isn't playing well or doing the job asked of him.

simple he not as effective on the ball, he's not making as many challenges as he was and he's been poorer possession. forms dipped, has it not or do you think he's playing as well as he was?

many concern here is he's losing appetite for the fight where in, and it has to be said does he feel we are going down and as such won't sign?

What is he being asked to do? Thats as vague as "he's not playing as well"
