No team was losing as much as Leicester......until they turned it around. There are no excuses other than not being good enough........everything else is accepting that you can't do more or make a difference.....you know, the kind of attitude exemplified by Rodwell and Lens.

How is it living in your black and white world?

It's probably just that with 3 defensive CMs and Kirchoffs added physical presence his contribution isn't being noticed as much.

I think if Sam leaves out Catts next week and plays Johnson or Borini it will give us a player that MVila can find. At the moment the players look up and theres no one there but Defoe. MVila can find a pass as good as anyone but if theres no one there what can he do?
Im not really pointing out his range of passing. More the simple things he was doing so elegantly earlier on in the season, which seem to have dissapeared.

It goes back a lot further than Man City on Tuesday.
Even before Xmas IMO.

Yea i know what you mean mate hes probably knackered, I think having the 3 defensive midfielders in there restricts him a bit just seem they get in each others way. Hopefully we are more attack minded next week so he can get his foot on the ball a bit.

Rather than hurling platitudes at each other why don't you engage in a proper debate. What we are talking about here is sport at the highest level which does ultimately boil down to a black or white equation......you succeed or you fail in your objectives. If we start with that narrative then you work backwards to see what is hindering progress (individually and as a team) and you look for solutions.

Footballers are human. You appear to disregard the mental fragility of humans. Leicester have lost 3 games all season iirc. We lose that many nearly every month! Of course it is more tiring physically and mentally being stuck in 19th place rather than top. In a perfect world it wouldnt but it isnt. Given he hasn't had a break this season for the first time and played every match since the 2nd week of the season as well it is hardly surprising he hasn't been able to sustain form.

But you're using a completely inappropriate example in Leicester who were five points below us a year ago. I fully accept that it's difficult playing your football at the foot of the table but the secret is making sure you pay a great deal of attention to a player's mental strength when you contemplate signing him......that would probably have ruled out the likes of Rodwell, Gomez, Toivenen, maybe Lens and the likes of Fletcher, Buckley, Scocco etc. However seeing as we are stuck with what we have we somehow need to engender a "can do" and will to win attitude.......that's the only thing that will get us off the foot of the table and the two weeks after the Man U game are a great opportunity to work on a collective will to win. That's what turned Leicester's form around and it could do the same for us.

You brought up Leicester!
