Yanks Want A T20 League

Sponsored by Macdonalds and with Samit Patel as proof they go hand in hand.

T20 has had it's day for me, taken far too seriously, it's moved from what it's original intentions were, a quick bish bash bosh after work to attract the fans.
Now bowlers stand for an age setting fields.
Although I can't see the Yankee version taking off ( they don't get cricket) another competition could kill it off all together here.
R.I.P. I say.

This. I just think its for folk who don't like cricket to like cricket. Slightly. I don't mind it personally but would much rather watch England in a Test Match or Durham in a Championship match.

It will suit the Americans down to the ground, no finesse and no tied games.

I think it's helped develop a different breed of cricketer - capable of brutal hitting and invention with the bat and accurate, unpredictable bowling. It requires far more thinking than a 4/5 day game but obviously less concentration and patience.
