Yanis Begraoui.

Let’s just sign some proven strikers please. This lads stats are poor and he’d be a massive risk. We need to build on the momentum of the season just ended and make some signings that prove we mean business. The Championship will be far more competitive next season.

Capped by France at three levels and has now reverted to Morocco U23’s…🤔

Totally agree about experience. Maybe that's what we lacked in the 2nd leg at Luton when it really mattered.

Yes mate, like people have said if Ballard, Batth, Evans and Stewart had played v Luton we’d have walked it, infact if they’d all been fit together for the majority of the season then we’d have possibly gone up automatically.

We lost to Luton through a lack of physicality, height and experience. I feel we have enough unproven youngsters right now in the likes of Ba, Bennette, Lihadji etc and really need proven, experienced players in this summer or we’ll suffer and our better players won’t hang around forever.

We also have a situation that Evans won’t be back by August ready to play, he’s a great pro but as Blackburn fans warned he’s very injury prone.

Ross Stewart too has had two serious injuries in close succession so we don’t know how he’ll stand up physically to play week in, week out thus the need for at least two experienced strikers to come in. It was embarrassing for a club our size to play the majority of the season so devoid centrally up front. It’s over two years since we paid money for a forward.

👏👏👏 couldn't agree more mate. Sadly, i don't think we will go down this route of adding a bit experience tho.

That may be true but it was the youthful never-say-die attitude that got us into the play offs. When every single fan had written this season off the yongsters simply didn't know when they were beaten. When it really mattered was how we came back after the Stoke debacle and beat Norwich away. It was when we came back from two down to score a last gasp equaliser against Watford. The model has worked exceptionally well this year and that was having faith in youth.

Not disputing that at all..that's why i posted "when it really mattered" against Luton 2nd leg. Fell short.

It wasn't lack of experience that caused us to fall short it was the lack of CBs and then the lack of FB because they were playing in the centre. It is arguable that if we'd had more experience in the team we may not have pulled out the likes of the Norwich result or the Watford result.

I meant as in the occasion. It got to the young lads.

We lost one game, we one the 1st leg

we didnt have anu defenders fit, well one Hume

Gooch had to play centre back and we had Clarke and Roberts wing backs

it was a complete freak injury crisis, that lost was to do with that

It didn't. we didnt have any fit defenders at all, and they scored from 3 set pieces

100% right. people rewriting history

Absoltuely nothing to do with being young that defeat, we literally had no players to pick in key positions

no it didn't, hope that helps

we had to play Gooch centre back and Roberts wing back as we had nobody else fit

hope that helps, maybe ask your source.

Injuries were always going to do us in the end and you can't have an endless line of good players to call on when key players are out for months.

I think young strikers won't harm, but an experienced pro in the middle would be of benefit. I just keep thinking Evans will break down again and we're then left with Dan Neil trying to do a role he's not really cut out for, nor should he be asked to do.

I've banged the drum for Luka Milivojević a few times now. He's a leader, a big powerhouse of a guy and can also pass a ball, he's also on a free this summer and still has a good engine on him at 32. He's the kind of signing that could really steady that midfield and let the young lads and attackers do what they do best.

A player’s goal scoring record doesn’t always tell the whole story. See Ross Stewart as a prime example, or Grigg at the other end of the scale.

If the club believe this lad, or any other in fact, can improve us while improving as players themselves, then the club are succeeding in what they’re trying to do.

Surely the club’s transfer record under KLD is enough to have people trust them?
