He wins a lot in the air and I’m sure he’ll set plenty up in time. His finishing was off yesterday but I think there’s a player in there.
No reason whatsoever to be writing him off at this stage.

First half I thought he won nearly every ball in the air. Struggled more in second half.also the keepers kicking was poor second half so he often wasn’t best placed to challenge

He won a few in the first half, virtually nothing in the second.

I can only judge him from what i've seen. He looked sharper at Bradford on the odd occasion I watched him there. If he does come back and have a good end to the season i'll be the first to praise him. I hope he does. It may be that he's gunna be a slow burner but i've not been impressed so far.
He's missed a large part of the season and pre season. Never to be underestimated .

Here’s a poser for you mate. There seems to be an assumption on here that a certain style of play with a certain type of player is the way forward at this level....ie having a big immobile bruiser up front. As an alternative why can’t the desired style be based on exactly the same principals used in the higher leagues...ie pacy and mobile forwards and defenders who can pass the ball. IF they can defend capably then being able to transition really quickly would cause teams in this league big problems imo......but conversely having defenders who can’t pass and getting them to lump it forward to the immobile target man is meat and drink to L1 defenders. I’d love to see us pass through teams and counter attack with pace and accuracy.....and that’s a philosophy you can take with you on promotion....you can’t take the lump it forward to Wyke mentality up with you.

The type of forward you're on about can be useful when up against sides prepared to attack. Unfortunately not too many sides in this division will go after us, which is wise as we'd murder them. Having a big centre forward with power in the air is a great option to have against sides who'll not come out to play.

Think he will be very important player for us for rest of season. Playing catch up on everyone else but will improve game on game offers us something different and does the dirty work. Think he will get ten goals between now and end of season which would be invaluable

Again like the Watmore thread, not read it all but hopefully the OP been told what an absolute plonker he is?

Not like the smb to write someone off after a couple of games!
Hope he smashes a few in when fully up to speed then " we " can move onto someone else.
Third off top ..game in hand ..Luton at home next weekend Haway the Lads..oh and Charlie ..knock one in to shut them up!

We need another striker
Oh and Mag

We need another striker

Of course you do, and perhaps a Manager and new owner might not be amiss. Not to worry, if they were missing from your Christmas Presents.

May get them for your birthday! Wyke, when match fit will do the business mind, anyhow thanks for the input and toodle pip!

And also a great option to have a good centrehalf against sides who rely on into high stuff into penalty area.
