Wyke is shite

You wanted the lad run out of town man despite the fact he still under contract and by far and away our top scorer.
Please let me know when you deem it Ok to criticise one of our players. I wouldn’t want to put you out
I cant give an accurate picture of his performance but according to sky sports news he was doing a lot of damage to the Charlton defence but then was injured (lookd bad at the time) and after the game carried on lost a bit of involvement,

Aye we need other options up front (particularly if Maja goes) as not killing teams off when we're on top is costing us points but, fer fux sake, give the lad a chance.

1. Wanted him dropped.... Correct
2. Accused him of not been committed.. Correct

But Criticised the lads playing ability..... Wrong.. And il reiterate again my doubting his commitment is his reluctance to sign his contract, what other conclusion can you come to??

But no personal criticism was ever written about the lad. And yes I felt it was wrong to play. Him yesterday. But I was still behind him as I was behind all our players
So providing you aren’t criticising their playing abitky it’s ok. Question their professionalism though by all means

Also I’d imagine any poster who gives an objective criticism on here will still be behind them come match day. I think onien is crap but I was still delighted when he scored yesterday.

Unless of course you’re the only one capable of criticising on here and being supportive on match day.

if he had power, he'd have buried that chance in the first half. Technique of a toddler.

Can't run, can't shoot but can head the ball in no particular direction & hope McGeady can do something with it.

This is what I seen...^

Lumbers around the pitch, falls down a lot. There were 2 instances where a simple 5 yard tap to Maja and we keep the ball and he missed both passes. I think after being a goal up at the half, Ross should’ve changed it up...pulled Wyke and went with a 5 man midfield, instead we stretched the pitch and let them in it..we’re turning into a hoof ball team, its horrible to watch.

If we lose Maja is Watmore not a decent replacement upfront. His finishing is a worry but surely he's entitled to a run?

Seriously your boring the life out of me now. You keep repeating the same old shit.

I've just justified my judgment of him in terms of commitment. But you just refuse to accept your lack of honesty and integrity. Sad really. I won't be making any further replies its like banging your head against a brick wall dealing with you.

You can justify it all you want you criticised the lad then had a go at others for not getting behind players.

You’re a hypocrite. Simple as that:

yep exactly. I see folk craving for a big lad who can hold it up as Maja can't. Sod that.

Sign a big lad who can hold it up will only lead to us trying to get the ball into him from all angles and distances as is the case when Wyke plays. McGeady, Gooch, Watmore, Maguire etc all benefit from running at a defence. Can't do that if the ball's fizzed into Wyke from 45 yards away. McLaughlin's constant waving the team up the park was driving me insane yesterday. Played right into the hands of that big centre half they had who had the turning circle of an Amsterdam ferry.

Zidane posted the vid mate. I get your point, they are both extremely limited footballers. Mind, I'd argue Wyke could prove to be far more useful to us than Vorn.

Here’s a poser for you mate. There seems to be an assumption on here that a certain style of play with a certain type of player is the way forward at this level....ie having a big immobile bruiser up front. As an alternative why can’t the desired style be based on exactly the same principals used in the higher leagues...ie pacy and mobile forwards and defenders who can pass the ball. IF they can defend capably then being able to transition really quickly would cause teams in this league big problems imo......but conversely having defenders who can’t pass and getting them to lump it forward to the immobile target man is meat and drink to L1 defenders. I’d love to see us pass through teams and counter attack with pace and accuracy.....and that’s a philosophy you can take with you on promotion....you can’t take the lump it forward to Wyke mentality up with you.

Amen!!

Im running out of the old 'He's not quite fit yet' excuse.

He spends more time on the bottom than he does on his feet. For a big lad supposed target man, he's as soft as shite. One touch from a CB and he's falling over. He wins the odd header but even that's only maybe 1 in every 2. He's slow as hell, I can't remember the last time i've seen a striker so slow to run. His first touch is appallingly bad. Just about every time he gets it, his first touch is so heavy it allows the defender to get close and/or tackle him.

He gets a massive chance at 0-1 yesterday, the defender misplaces a pass and he's in. He has plenty of time to finish and he hits it quite poorly straight at the keeper. I genuinely thought - well maybe he's just gunna take time to get going but how long? Christ.

...so you rate him?

Another thread slagging off one of our players, this time one who has had to come back from not one, but two, bad injuries.

The f***ing state of this place man, I hope to god none of the players get on here.
