Wyke is shite

First half yesterday he made some useful contributions and was a handful for Charlton. That said he had a couple of chances and sadly he doesn't look a natural finisher which is clearly a worry for a striker.

Second half the game naturally became more stretched and Charlton woke up (they were dreadful for most of the first half). Wyke was ineffective and in fact it was like playing with 10 for most of the half. Watmore came on and showed what pace can do in terms of a stretched game getting in behind and if we had have had Maja's pace following up in the middle we may well have scored rather than Wyke. The manager got his substitutions wrong second half therefore IMHO.

McLaughlin was setting up to take a goal kick late on in the second half. I turned yo my dad and said, "he's going to aim for Wyke, so who is your money on to head it out, Bauer or the right back?

Sure enough by the time the ball reached them, Bauer had a free header and Wyke was sort of stumbling off to the side!

He'd ran out of gas by then :)

“Cut that out”

I don’t think anyone means any harm to anyone they criticise it’s just an opinion.

What makes you above everyone where by your criticism is somehow more acceptable than others?

Eh.... I think you've lost it.. You can't give a valid decent response to my last point so your now clutching at straws. Move on, you've been found out, accept it.
My criticism more acceptable than others eh.... Please provide evidence....

You criticise Maja then start lecturing posters in regards to getting behind our players.

What a hypocrite lad.

Majas got a lot of things going for him but pace isn't one of them
In fact if he had pace he would be long gone by now

Your seriously not on the same planet are you.
I can ask (or lecture as you put it), folk to get behind our players as much as I like. Wyke is a current player COMMITTED to this club. Maja as made the decision (whether its his or not) not to commit. He therefore sees his future elsewhere (unless he changes his mind ) So therein lies the difference in circumstances
Now regardless of that, PROVIDE EVIDENCE of anywhere in my post yesterday where I critised the lad or his playing ability. I critised his (or his agents) decision making process, but not the lad himself. I certainly didn't hand, drawn or quarter the lad. You seriously need to take a good look at yourself, and get rid of that chip on your shoulder.

You wanted the lad run out of town man despite the fact he still under contract and by far and away our top scorer.
Please let me know when you deem it Ok to criticise one of our players. I wouldn’t want to put you out

If we go up then he needs peddling, nowhere near good enough if the club has any ambition. He's basically a lower league carthorse with zero technical ability.

Provide the written evidence!! Shouldnt be hard I wrote loads on here yesterday. You won't find it because it doesn't exist .

Just admit your wrong. It's not hard you know, eating humble pie. I'd imagine you've already eaten a few portions over your Outragious 'ONien' post.

He's a different option and is not match fit yet.

That said, he was poor yesterday. He should be bullying the centre backs but it was the other way round. He won very few headers ,didn't link up with anyone else and fluffed a couple of good opportunities. There was also a situation in the second half where if he'd been more alert would have had a one on one. On the plus side, he does offer an out ball, which is probably why he stayed on.

Written evidence? This is a forum not a court of law man!
You are fully aware of your criticism of Maja. To then have a pop at other fans for critiquing other players shows you for the hypocrite you are.

I can see why people think he’s shite, but he’s got something we need, which is power.
He wins a lot in the air and I’m sure he’ll set plenty up in time. His finishing was off yesterday but I think there’s a player in there.
No reason whatsoever to be writing him off at this stage.

First half I thought he won nearly every ball in the air. Struggled more in second half.also the keepers kicking was poor second half so he often wasn’t best placed to challenge

You keep repeating the same crap over and over again. So what I'm asking you to do, it support it with evidence. Yes it's a written forum but you can cut and paste the sections where I allegedly made the disparaging comments. You won't do it because it's not there.
For 30years untill recently I've been in a job where all I've dealt with is evidence and proof and I can smell a porky teller a mile off.

(This is where il get shit off other posters)

We were watching the same game.
Maybe Wyke tired second half?
Am not sure though that Maja is much quicker than wyke: sharper in box yes.

Another SMB bar room lawyer

You criticised maja, wanted him dropped and accused him of not being committed. That is fact.

You then have a pop at other posters for not getting behind our players.

Complete hypocrite.

I hope he comes good just can't see it. Plenty of crosses into the box he just seems to lack the instinct to be in a position to get on the end of them. He won a few headers and duels yesterday then played the ball straight to the opposition. He wasn't the only offender for this mind.
I also think he looks incredibly slow.

1. Wanted him dropped.... Correct
2. Accused him of not been committed.. Correct

But Criticised the lads playing ability..... Wrong.. And il reiterate again my doubting his commitment is his reluctance to sign his contract, what other conclusion can you come to??

But no personal criticism was ever written about the lad. And yes I felt it was wrong to play. Him yesterday. But I was still behind him as I was behind all our players
