Wycombe Fans,

Anyone been monitoring the thoughts of the Wycombe fans for next week on social media? What a set of cocky bastards they are. Never read one of them who thinks they'll lose. Every single one seems to think they merely have to turn up to win.

No idea where they get this arrogance from.
So what

If you were an SAFC fan would you be making a post saying we're gonna lose?

Nowt like positivity

They probably think same about us

Nowt to get upset bout FFS imo

They've been on a good run like ourselves haven't they so I do think the majority of their fans will be optimistic. I remember the rotherham manager said up here a few back that the two in form teams are sunderland and wycombe, its going to be another close one.

Good on them. You should be confident in your side. We only finished a point or two ahead of them, so basically nothing at all between the sides. Both fans should believe in their team and be confident - I am too. Someone will be disappointed but that’s how it goes

Of course they’ll believe they’re going to win.

Surely they wouldn’t bother going if it was just to see us beat them.

They’ve been on an excellent run of form and knocked out the third best side in the league over two legs.

Why on earth wouldn’t they think they were going to win?
Extraordinary post

🐓

If anyone believes it will be easy they are deluded. Both teams finished within a point and both have had long unbeaten runs before the end of the season.

Yes, I think we’ll win but then so does every other Wycombe supporter, as do you guys.

Every club has its idiots but I’ve enjoyed conversing with this forum more than others I’ve been on in the past. That says a lot.

99% of fans on Saturday will be delighted to chat with opposing supporters and enhance the experience for all.

Safe journey to you all.

Well said mate

But be aware of forthcoming abuse from some

Most Wycombe fans won't give a shite about us whereas there's a large amount on here who are still seething and foaming at the mouth about them at all times with everything they do.

It's a bit daft.

You *have* to be a cocky bastard to support any English team outside the top 4 of the PL.

Rationally, objectively, teams outside them are very unlikely to win anything, or be successful for any great period of time.

Supporting a team like Sunderland is all about belief and faith. Take it away and there's not much left.

They finished the 46 game season a point behind us, their current run of form is very like ours and unbeaten in ages so they have every right to be fairly confident.

Regardless of that they are also going in as "underdogs" because of their size. So nowt to lose in that respect.

I doubt they will be the pushover that some of our "cocky" fans think.

I have us down as favourites, as do the bookies

We’ve been the better side in both our meetings this season (different manager but largely the same players)

Hopefully with a decent ref (possibly helped by VAR) we can outplay them and we aren’t a soft touch anymore

Bloody hell mate! We're optimistic as you'd expect with the the form we've been in recently, but I don't think your criticism of our fans has any weight

In fact, I've listened to a few of your podcasts and read a few threads on here, and the vibe is almost exactly the same as amongst our fans: cautious optimism. You're nearly all predicting that you'll win whilst also acknowledging that it will probably be a tough game. I think that's our approach too. The only difference is that there's probably less expectation for us

Not many in this thread criticising your fans mate
